Shortly before the official release of WordPress 3.0 is wpSEO 2.7.7 ready for download. The new release of wpSEO should be used by everyone who is using WordPress 3.0. Functionality which are not supported anymore by the official WP-API function are eliminated from the code, so that the software also in debug mode is going to continue to work without any error messages.

For users of older WordPress installations < WP 3.0 is the updating of wpSEO not required since the update doesn’t bring additional features. The development is focused on the continue of wpSEO 3.0, the design and implementation of the restructured source code. The goal of the next update is certain: more features, better performance, less memory usage and all with less code. And that can only be realized if we use already defined functions (but did not exist in the earlier releases) are also used in wpSEO.
